A festive cranberry cake – perfect for the holidays!
The holiday season is a magical time of year. The air is crisp, the snow is sparkling, and the festive decorations are everywhere you look. One of my personal favorites is cranberry cake.
There are so many wonderful things about cranberry cake. The tartness of the cranberries pairs perfectly with the sweetness of the cake and frosting, and the red and green colors are perfect for Christmas. Plus, it’s super easy to make! Just mix together a few ingredients, bake, and enjoy.

Cranberry cake recipe
1 cup cranberries
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup sour cream
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan.
2. In a small bowl, mix together cranberries, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Stir in sour cream. Add cranberry mixture and mix until everything is well combined.
4. Pour batter into prepared cake pan and bake for about 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
5. Allow cake to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
